Summary
The OTP Bank Liga (HUN1), or Nemzeti Bajnokság I, is the top level of league-style football competition in Hungary. At the end of the 2025-2026 HUN1 season, the HUN1 teams listed below qualify for the following non-league play:
- 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League - 1st Qualifying Round:
- 1st place 2025-2026 HUN1 team
- 2026-2027 UEFA Europa Conference League - 2nd Qualifying Round:
- 2nd and 3rd place 2025-2026 HUN1 teams
The winner of the 2025-2026 Magyar Ligakupa (Hungarian Cup), typically a HUN1 team, also receives a berth in the 1st Qualifying Round of the 2026-2027 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Season Format
Each HUN1 team plays each of the other 11 HUN1 teams 3 times for a total of 33 league matches. In the first 22 matches for each team, they are Home-Away. In the last 11 matches, the six teams that had the highest ranking at the end of the 2024-2025 HUN1 season, will have 6 home matches and 5 away matches. The remaining six teams will have 5 home matches and 6 away matches. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) overall wins, (2) goal difference, (3) goals scored, (4) head-to-head points, (5) head-to-head goal difference, (6) head-to-head away goals scored, (7) Fairplay ranking, then (8) a drawing.

Not applicable.
Relegation
At the end of the 2025-2026 HUN1 season, the 11th and 12th place HUN1 teams will be relegated to the HUN2, and the 1st and 2nd place HUN2 teams will be promoted to the 2026-2027 HUN1.
