Season Format
The 2026-2027 MDA1 season consists of two phases. In the 1st Phase, each MDA1 team plays Home-Away matches against the other 7 MDA1 teams for a total of 14 league matches. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) head-to-head points, (2) head-to-head goal difference, (3) head-to-head goals scored, (4) matches won, (5) goal difference, (6) goals scored, (7) fewer red cards, then (8) fewer yellow cards.
In the 2nd Phase, the top six teams from the 1st Phase play Home-Away matches against the other 5 teams for 10 additional matches per team. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) a playoff (if deciding the champion), (2) head-to-head points, (3) head-to-head goal difference, (4) head-to-head goals scored, (5) matches won, (6) goal difference, (7) goals scored, (8) fewer red cards, then (9) fewer yellow cards.

At the end of the 2026-2027 MDA1 1st Phase, the 7th and 8th place teams entered into a Promotion/Relegation playoff with four MDA2 teams.
