Summary
The Slovak First Football League (SVK1), or Niké Liga, is the top football league in Slovakia's football system. At the end of the 2026-2027 SVK1 season, the SVK1 teams listed below qualify for the following non-league play:
- 2027-2028 UEFA Champions League - 2nd Qualifying Round:
- 1st place 2026-2027 SVK1 Championship Group team
- 2027-2028 UEFA Europa Conference League - 2nd Qualifying Round:
- 2nd and 3rd place 2026-2027 SVK1 Championship Group teams
The winner of the 2026-2027 Slovenský Pohár (Slovak Cup), typically a SVK1 team, also receives a berth in the 1st Qualifying Round of the 2027-2028 UEFA Europa League. If the Slovak Cup winner has already earned either a UEFACL or UEFAECL berth, then the 4th place, 5th place, and 6th place Championship Round teams and the 1st place Relegation Group teams have a "Knockout" Playoff. The winner receives a berth in the 1st Qualifying Round of the 2027-2028 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Season Format
The 2026-2027 SVK1 season consists of 2 stages. In the first stage, each SVK1 team plays Home-Away matches with the other 11 SVK1 teams for a total of 22 league matches. In the second stage, the top six teams play in the Championship Group and the bottom 6 teams play in the Relegation Group. Each team plays Home-Away matches against the other 5 teams in their group (10 more matches, 32 matches total) to determine final rankings for 2027-2028 UEFA Champions League, Europa Conference League placements, and relegation. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) head-to-head points in regular season, (2) head-to-head goal difference in regular season, (3) head-to-head points, (4) head-to-head goal difference, (5) head-to-head away goals scored, (6) goal difference, (7) total goals scored, (8) Fair-Play ranking, then (9) a drawing.
Playoffs
Not applicable.
Relegation
At the end of the 2026-2027 SVK1 season, the 6th place Relegation Group team will be relegated to the SVK2, and the 5th place Relegation Group team plays a Home-Away highest aggregate score wins Promotion/Relegation Playoff against the 2nd place SVK2 team. The Playoff winner and the 1st place SVK2 team will play in the 2027-2028 SVK1.
